VERY strong, works great!
I love this thing. The price is excellent compared to other "premium" options. The magnet is extremely strong, more than enough for the 10mm glass on my tank. It scrapes most stuff on the first pass. 2-3 passes if you've let coralline and spirorbid worms build up. My old mag-float didn't even stand a chance against that stuff. It would just get stuck and float away. No more sticking my arm in the tank with a razor blade!

Awesome algae cleaner!!!
I am a 300 lb power lifter that loves the aquarium hobby. These algae cleaners are absolutely awesome. Cleaned a 55 gallon tank with a bad algae problem in about 3 minutes, without the blades. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND being careful not to put the two pieces within 4 or 5 inches of each other outside of a fish tank. The magnets are so powerful, that when I accidentally did so, they snapped together with so much force that I bruised my left small finger. Then I had to pry them apart with a screwdriver! I could literally win some money betting my powerlifting friends that they can’t separate the two sides (without a screwdriver or other tool), once the magnets connect. With a piece of glass between them they are perfect. I would recommend sliding the outside magnetic piece on the glass towards the inner piece to minimize the force of the connection. When you are done, simply turn one of the pieces in a circular motion while holding the other, to break the “seal”. Buy these, they are great.

I opened the box; Installed the metal scraper (there's also a plastic scraper for acrylic tanks) ; and started cleaning a 50 gallon aquarium with half-inch glass. The wet piece stays attached through the heavy glass unless bumped off by rocks inside the aquarium. Easy to use. If the wet side disconnects from the magnet, it floats. That's a great feature, appreciated only if you have used others that sank. Cleans completely. Recommended.

Holy Strong Magnets!
I took this out of the box and am going to save the scraper ends for later when I need them most. I mainly purchased to save time during routine water changes by not having to scrub the glass with the buildup between changes. This allows me to swipe it across each end/face of the tank and keep the algae at bay. I tried testing how strong the magnet was out of the box by sticking them together. BAD IDEA. I had to pry them apart with a knife wedged between to get them apart! The velcro that scrapes the algae locks into the fabric on the other size and you can't twist it at all to get it apart. SOOoo don't test it out before putting it in like I did! Trust me they are super strong magnets and work just fine, so keep that in mind when joining them on each side of your tank. Great value/size for the money and I look forward to NOT having to scrub the glass each water change because I've been able to keep up with it without getting my hands wet!

Best magnet cleaner ive had!
The magnet strength is kinda crazy but works super well! The size is awesome for bigger tanks and allows me to make quick work off the glass. I love the cleaning that just the normal magnet provided and the versatility of being able to take the “razor” part off when it’s not needed. The thickness of the grip is also perfect to maintain good control and clean with ease.

AMAZING got rid of the tough green algae that was on tank for months
This tool is amazing. I was losing hope ever getting this algae off my 300 gallon tank, I couldn’t get a good angle on it because it’s in the wall and very deep/wide. Other scrapers wouldn’t make a dent at all but this one worked miraculously! Sure it still takes some scrubbing but I got all that really tough algae off the side within 20 minutes, after months of looking at it and being sad about the state of my tank. I used the plastic part for the acrylic sump tank and it cleared that right up too with no scratching! Love love love, absolutely worth the price for what it gave me- control back of my tank.
