Small but mighty
I've been using a scalp serum, but find that more of it ends up in my hair than on my scalp. It's also hard to distribute evenly. Well, this clever little device is a game changer. I's super tiny- it easily fits in the palm of my hand. It would be great for travel It's an attractive little unit and has snug fitting silicone covers for the reservoir and to protect the metal pins. It comes with a charging cable but no charging brick. Just pressing the unit against the scalp dispenses the liquid. It dispense just a little at a time. If you want to dispense more, you can press on the soft reservoir cover. It works very well The serum ends up evenly distributed on my scalp, not in my hair. It would be awesome enough if that's all it did, but it also combines vibration, micro current and red light therapy to stimulate the hair follicles. This doesn't feel like most massagers. It's just a mild tingle. However, after I"be used this, my scalp feels invigorated.Of course, that might be partly due to my scalp serum. The reservoir hold 6 milliliters, which is about a fifth of an ounce. That may not sound like a lot, but it's actually quite a bit. It's also easy to clean.I like it a lot.
Stimulates scalp, applies right amt of oil
I have very fine, thinning hair and was worried this devise would dump lots of oil onto my scalp to make it look even worse. No worries though, the devise prongs release less oil at a time than I do with a dropper, which is good cuz I can then work the oil into my scalp with the devise without creating a greasy mess.I used the devise with Mueller Rosemary Mint Scalp Oil, and it seems to be a good combo. Together the vibrating device and oil made my scalp tingle and feel pleasantly stimulated even after I turned it off.I had set the glass bottle of oil in some hot water for 10 minutes before pouring it into the devise canister to warm it a little so it would hopefully penetrate into my scalp even better. (Obviously I didn't want the oil to be hot and burn my skin or harm the devise). I'm not certain if that warming really worked though cuz the oil didn't actually feel warm or cold coming out of the prongs when I turned the device on to administer it.The device tank holds as lot of oil. I just filled it half way, and only used a small AMT of that on my first treatment.I really like the way this device made my scalp feel. I'm hoping that it will help grow my hair since scalp stimulation and red light are thought to possibly help that -- as is the rosemary & mint oil I used. If I do notice hair growth I will update this (cuz I know how frustrating it is to try everything)
Works great on my fine thin hair
- I have a similar electric hair oil applicator which i love so much. This one works very similarly. I have fine thin hair. I lost so much hair post partum and i'm still trying ways to get my pre-pregnancy hair volume back. What i like about this electric hair oil applicator is that it dispenses the oil very slowly so it encourages me to run this on my scalp over and over thereby hopefully giving my scalp a good massage to help with hair follicle stimulation. The vibration is quite gentle which i like because my hair is very delicate at the moment and i don't want to use anything powerful. This applicator bottle although small in size, can hold a good amount of oil. I only have to fill it about a quarter each time. Washing this applicator is quite easy if you have a brush cleaner that can go inside this applicator bottle.- Overall i really like this electric hair oil applicator. The built quality is great and it works very well on my fine thin hair.
Neat little device!.
I like all the features it has rolled into one including dispensing oil, red light therapy, and vibrations! There are three modes which are red light only, vibration only, and red light and vibration simultaneously. To dispense the oil I press down on the silicone lid cover. Nifty little thing! I'm not sure how legit red light therapy is for hair growth as I only got it because of the vibrational mode but I like that it's an option nonetheless.
Wish I bought this sooner
I've wasted so much expensive oils that we're applied to the right spot or dripped off my hands and hair while applying. This tool has more than paid for itself. Not to mention, it feels amazing. Just remember you need to push the cap area while using it to dispense oil.
Worthwhile little device
Overall, I'm really happy with this little guy. The massager definitely stimulates my scalp and the red light seems legit enough. As far as I can tell, the oil (or whatever you want to use for the reservoir) works NOT by pumping the solution out of the prongs. Instead, if you think of the prongs as you would a ballpoint pen, the solution comes out as you roll across your head. That's perfectly fine, but if you're trying to use something like minoxidil then it would likely take far too long to get enough of the product on your head. Still, I think the stimulation and the red light are great for priming the scalp for other treatments. Right now I have hair vitamins in the machine, and use other hair productions after. So overall, a nice buy.
Portable and powerful.
I guess I misunderstood when ordering this product when it said scalp massager. I thought it actually rotates (or move) and gives your head a massage but instead it just vibrates. I’m not a great fan of just vibration as a massager, rather I like it when there is movement to a device . My fault though, I didn’t read thoroughly. It does however does what it says. I love giving my hair monthly oil treatment and this has been great. It distributes oil perfectly through my scalp. I don’t have to deal with the mess. The charge holds up well, I found this out when my son kept playing with it and it still held up strong during the application. For something small and portable, it packs a powerful punch (vibration). I have grown to love it. I also love that it’s perfect for travel!
Quality is top-notch, and it's very easy to handle.
Bring spa like treatments home!
Love this rechargeable scalp and oil massager. The microcurrents feel so good. Easily distributes oil. So much easier than placing the oil, strip by strip against the scalp. You can cover a larger area faster. Easy to clean, waterproof. Holds a decent amount of oil so that you are not constantly refilling. I always have some left over from my weekly applications. Now if I could just get someone to do this for me, it would be ideal.
I believe that this tool is very helpful if you are suffering from hair loss. I have an area in my head that was thinning and I added this to my routine because it has the red light and it massages which are 2 things that I red were good for treating areas of hair loss. I think this device has really helped speed up the process of this journey for me. It's easy to use, I mainly apply the oil directly to my scalp and use this device for the massage and light so the only part I've really had to clean are the metal pieces and I just use my edge brush for that. I like it, its so convenient.
